So i mentioned that the trail run challenge was a set of three. I had a problem to attend the second race on the 7th November as i had a previous engagement with “the wolf run”.
I enjoyed the first race so much though that i though i would see if i could move my wolf run to the 8th November, they agreed. I had not really thought about the consequences of my actions, now i would have a 10Km race on Saturday followed by the wolf run on the Sunday ! Idiot ! But idiot who loves a challenge !! I figure i would just take it easy on the Saturday, besides what’s 10Km ? I can eat that for breakfast these days !
So the 7th November came and it was a hideous morning the weather was just total carnage, sideways rain, vertical wind and the like. Really i expected a plague of locusts next !!! The course actually had to be modified a little bit due to that it had become a little bit dangerous in places, so it actually ended up just short of 10Km !!
I was soaked to the skin before i started.
Preparing myself mentally, also trying not to freeze !
Another race done, did someone say medal ?!!

I couldn’t get a screenshot of the race result, but my official time was 52:43 which is probably a new record for me, then again it was just short of 10Km so i can’t really count it. Shame !!
Funny thing was, despite all the rain as soon as the race started the sun came out and it ended up pretty warm by the time i finished ! I also dropped my hat in a puddle at one point which was a bit gutting as stopping, turning around, bending down to pick up a hat then starting up again is no fun at all !!
