After the breakdown injury in August my body i was pretty upset with my body. How dare it let me down like that !! In an effort to replace the rush of running i took to ‘spinning’, you know the thing…..cycling without moving whilst being motivated by a sadistic dominatrix who just loves cycling uphill ! Despite being awful at riding bikes i have actually taken to it a little and now try to do it three times a week. I think the spinning allowed me to still exercise while giving my legs a break…….the end result is that i am now even fitter and am back in the game as regards running. To celebrate i have booked myself onto the Clumber park 10k trail run with a few of the guys from Sutton Sting. It’s on the 17th October so not long to go now….still quite a bit of work to do to be prepared, but i think i should be OK. I can run 5 miles without too much trouble.
